§ 8-160. Licensing gas fitter contractor.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the business of gas fitting within the city without a license to do so issued by the building official upon payment of an annual license fee of $50.00. All such licenses shall expire on December 31 of the year issued. Licenses shall be required of master gas fitters engaged in the business of gas-fitting contractors and shall likewise be required of all persons engaged in the business as gas fitting contractors and having in their employ qualified master gas fitters; provided, that it is the intent and purpose of this section to require one license fee only for each person engaged in the gas fitting business as an individual unit; provided further, that licenses shall be issued only to qualified master gas fitters or to persons who have in their employ qualified master gas fitters.
