§ 8-159. Registration of nonresident gas fitter certificates.

Any person who holds a current valid gas fitter certificate, issued by a board of examiners which has established license reciprocation with the City of Manhattan, and who can give proof of passing a comparable examination as determined by the building official shall be exempt from the requirements of this article relating to gas fitter examinations, but such persons are hereby required to register the certificate with the building official before doing any gas fitting work in the city. Registration of nonresident certificates shall be effective until December 31 following registration and may be renewed annually thereafter upon payment of the required fee.
