§ 9-23. Conduct in cemeteries.

  • (a)

    No person shall violate the rules and regulations adopted by the cemetery sexton in compliance with this chapter.

    (b)

    No person shall consume food or beverages within a cemetery.

    (c)

    No person shall permit any dog to enter or remain in a cemetery except for a service dog.

    (d)

    No person shall damage, injure, destroy, mark, mar, displace or remove any grave space, marker, memorial or monument. This provision shall not apply to the cemetery sexton or city employees in carrying out their duties within the cemeteries.

    (e)

    No person shall discharge fireworks in or immediately adjacent to any cemetery (except for authorized volleys at interments).

    (f)

    No person shall enter or remain in a cemetery between the hours of sunset and the next day's sunrise. This provision shall not apply to the cemetery sexton or city employees in carrying out their duties within the cemeteries.

    (g)

    No parent or guardian shall permit a child under the age of 14 to be within the cemetery grounds unless accompanied by an adult person.
