§ 6-40. Tags.

(a)

Upon receipt of a properly completed application with all appropriate attachments, the city clerk shall issue a license to the applicant. The license shall be recorded under the same number stamped on the proof of rabies vaccination tag issued by the veterinarian. The proof of rabies vaccination tag shall also serve as the animal's proof of city license.

(b)

The keeper or harborer of any animal licensed hereunder shall ensure the proof of rabies vaccination tag is attached to a suitable collar and kept on the animal for which it was issued at all times. Such tags are not transferable to other animals.
