§ 32-47. Cost of improvements to serve private property.

  • (a)

    The actual cost of the initial installation of water service lines from the city's main to the property line of private property, as well as the water meter and shut off valve related to such property, shall be paid by the city. In addition to all fees required by other sections of this Code, the cost of all water service lines from the property line into the private property shall be paid by the party making the application. After installation, all water service lines on private property shall be deemed to be owned by the owner of the property, subject to all reasonable regulations prescribed by ordinance.

    (b)

    After the initial installation of water service lines from the city's main to private property, the water meter and the city's shut off valve, any relocation of such items, at the request of the property owner, shall be at the property owner's expense.
