§ 8-120. Registration of nonresident plumbers.

  • Any person who holds a current valid plumber or drainlayer certificate, issued by a board of examiners which has established reciprocation with the City of Manhattan, and who can give proof of passing a comparable examination as determined by the building official shall be exempt from the requirements of this article relating to plumbing and drainlaying examinations, but such persons are hereby required to register the certificate with the building official before doing any plumbing or drainlaying work in the city. Registration of nonresident certificates shall be effective until December 31 of even-numbered years and may be renewed biennially thereafter upon payment of the required fee and submission of the required continuing education hours.
