§ 8-82. Registration of certificates of nonresident electricians.

  • Any person who holds a current valid electrician's certificate issued by a board of examiners who has established license reciprocation with the City of Manhattan and who can give proof of passing a comparable examination as determined by the building official shall be exempt for the requirements of this article relating to electrical examinations, but such persons are hereby required to register the certificate with the building official before doing any electrical work in the city. Registration of nonresident certificates shall be effective until December 31 of odd-numbered years and may be renewed biennially thereafter upon payment of the required fee and submission of the required continuing education hours.
