§ 8-5. Application form, fee and exam requirement.

Application for contractor's license shall be upon such form and provide such information as prescribed by the building official and shall be accompanied by the appropriate fee. The applicant must provide proof that he or she received a minimum score of 75 percent on the Prometric, International Code Council or other examination approved by the building official prior to the issuance of a general contractor's license in accordance with section 8-4. Any person holding a general contractor's license in good standing with the city as of July 1, 2004, shall be exempt from the exam requirement, provided that such license is renewed in each subsequent renewal period by the date noted in section 8-3 of this article.
