§ 2-191. Governing body to assume duties of urban renewal agency board.

(a)

Pursuant to the constitution and laws of the state, the governing body does hereby and herein assume all powers formerly exercised by the urban renewal agency board.

(b)

This assumption of powers and duties of the urban renewal agency board by the governing body shall include all past, present and future activities relating to urban renewal including the exercise of the power of eminent domain, substitution of parties in any and all pending litigation and any future litigation, the ownership of and power to convey full title to all property, both real and personal of the urban renewal agency, and any and all other powers and duties created by operation of law.
