§ 27-34. Investigation.

  • Upon receipt of the application fee under this division, the city clerk shall direct the applicant to complete the forms given to him. The applicant shall return the completed original forms to the city clerk who shall forward the original and a copy of the completed documents to the office of the director of the Riley County police department who shall within 21 days investigate the applicant's qualifications and forward to the city clerk the original documents and a statement of his recommendation of approval or disapproval of the application. The director shall accompany any application which he disapproves with a summary of all reasons why the application should be disapproved. The original statements of approval or disapproval of the director as well as any summaries of reasons for disapproval shall be maintained in the original by the city clerk.
