§ 24-21. When required; exceptions.

(a)

It shall be unlawful for any person to solicit or peddle within the city without having first obtained a license as required in this article.

(b)

A license shall not be required for a person who solicits or peddles within the city on behalf of charitable, educational or religious organizations if the organization submits a letter to the city clerk certifying the organization's status as a charitable, educational, or religious organization and describing the dates and nature of activities that primarily benefit such organization.
