§ 1-8. Class A violations.

  • Any section of this Code may specifically provide that the violation of such section is a Class A violation, for the purpose of establishing the amount of court costs applicable to such section, pursuant to the Charter Ordinance of the city establishing such court costs. In addition to those offenses specifically designated as Class A violations, violations of the following sections are considered Class A violations:

    (a)

    Sec. 4-3. Purchase, consumption and possession of alcoholic liquor and cereal malt beverage by minors; furnishing to minors.

    (b)

    Sec. 6-7. Keeping of dangerous or vicious animals prohibited.

    (c)

    Sec. 6-24. Nuisances.

    (d)

    Sec. 6-25. Dangerous dogs.

    (e)

    Sec. 21-52. [Disorderly house nuisance] Violation.

    (f)

    Sec. 22-16. Assault.

    (g)

    Sec. 22-17. Battery.

    (h)

    Sec. 22-29. Criminal trespass.

    (i)

    Sec. 22-36. Interference with public officials and employees.

    (j)

    Sec. 22-37. Resisting arrest.

    (k)

    Sec. 22-47. Disorderly conduct.

    (l)

    Sec. 22-50. Riot.

    (m)

    Sec. 22-51. Incitement to riot.

    (n)

    Sec. 22-53. Window peeping.

    (o)

    Sec. 22-66. Deadly weapons.

    (p)

    Sec. 22-67. Discharging firearms.

    (q)

    Aiding or abetting, as defined in section 22-1, another in the commission of any violation listed above.

    (r)

    Attempting, as defined in section 22-2, to commit any violation listed above.
