§ 13-23. Establishment of limits of districts in which liquid fuel is stored underground.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to store fuel underground within the area defined in subsection (b), except in lawful tanks installed prior to February 15, 1981; and further, it shall be unlawful for any person to store liquid fuel underground within the area defined in subsection (c), except in lawful tanks installed prior to May 15, 1983.

    (b)

    The area in which underground liquid fuel storage is prohibited, except in lawful storage tanks installed prior to February 15, 1981, shall be the area outlined upon the following map:

    (c)

    The area in which underground liquid fuel storage is prohibited, except in lawful storage tanks installed prior to May 15, 1983, shall be the area outlined upon the following map:

    (d)

    This section shall not apply to any storage of fuel in lawful tanks installed prior to dates above referenced, nor to the replacement of storage tanks if the replacement complies with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and all other applicable laws and regulations.
